I've seen honest faces before. They usually come attached to liars.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Wow, we had a bad day. mac got some $$ for Halloween and wanted to go buy a toy with it. Our local toy store did not have what he wanted, so I suggested going to Target. Well, Target was out also and I refused to pony up the money to buy a similar but larger version. He worked himself up over a good half an hour and then....meltdown. We went a good 2.5 months with no physical outbursts, so I guess that is still worth something, but pulling a 7 year old on the subway and bites and kicks - not a good time. big ups to Jesse for assistance.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Eh -- moral support only.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Happy Birthday Ginger!

I'm spending this weekend in Carrboro/Chapel Hill, and it's lovely! I got to see Amyth, listen to Billy Bragg at an early voting concert, ramble around town, and get my plants ready for winter. I canvassed in Durham last night, and I have next Tuesday off for whatever the Obama team needs me for, but tomorrow's all about unstructured time.

Art Crawl!!!

Happy Birthday Ginger!

I slept in waaay late and then went to the library and browsed through a fun book about horse racing in America where I discovered the interesting fact that the man who bred Domino was named Barak. I wonder if it was a family name - like Almanzo Wilder's . .. what is the likelihood that he was Islamic?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Thanks, Sox. I've been more excited this election than I have in a looooong time. So that helps. And the fact that I feel confident enough now to talk to strangers. It takes an awful lot for me to go out knocking on doors, I tell you!

I think I hit a skunk with my minivan on the way back from the grocery store. I had to park the van outside because I could smell it from inside the house!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It's also a biblical name. He was a general in the book of Judges, fighting against Sisera. (It means "lightning" in Hebrew. Same-sounding word means "blessed" in Arabic.)
