Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

All the little kids in costumes are adorable!

I ate a Twix. Well, two Twix, since there are two bars in a package. So then does one package count as one Twix or two Twix? Anyway, favorite candy bar, usually only get it on Halloween. So that was my festive Halloween.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So then does one package count as one Twix or two Twix?

A Twix is a package of two bars. Each bar is a Twik.

Interesting. [link]

Plans for a Jerusalem museum dedicated to tolerance and coexistence got the final go-ahead Wednesday from Israel's Supreme Court, which rejected an appeal by Muslims who complained the site covers part of an ancient Muslim cemetery.

Well, that part mostly just makes me sigh. This was the part that I found interesting:

The Antiquities Authority has said it is impractical to halt construction every time graves are found, because it happens so often.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

OMG Thing 1 and Thing 2 SOOO CUTE! And I love Barb's kids' costumes too. We had a good Halloween but it was very busy. I did finally get Isaac to put on his astronaut costume by suggesting he wear it over the dress and go as Dorothy in Space.

One neighbor's kid proudly showed me her costume: pin stripe suit, red fedora, money peeking out of her pocket. I laughed, "you're a PIMP!" Her mom said, "well she wanted to go as a rich man, and... she doesn't really know what a pimp is anyway." Pause. "Just wait until your kid does it." So I told her about Isaac's other costume.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

It's just as well I don't have kids, because I would totally do one up in a bald wig with glued on q-tips and buy a midget-sized leather ensemble for a cenobite costume.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Thing 1 and Thing 2 are so incredible. Owen looked at them and said, "What cute little babies!"

I'm getting ready to go do canvassing for Obama all day. DH is doing kid duty all weekend. I still need to find a babysitter for Tuesday.

Isaac cracks me up.

We went to Target to get candy a few days ago and I let the kids pick out a small toy. Owen first chose an Indiana Jones lego toy until he spied small Disney Tinkerbell fairies. He preferred the fairies. Liv got the Disney princesses and the two spent the afternoon exchanging them.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Got maybe 8 groups of kiddos for treating last night. I didn't have a pumpkin out or decorations out, but I left the porch light on and had candles lit in the windows so it was clear I was open for business, yet I saw some people passing by. Clearly, I should have made an Obamalantern.
