Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

It's just as well I don't have kids, because I would totally do one up in a bald wig with glued on q-tips and buy a midget-sized leather ensemble for a cenobite costume.
Thing 1 and Thing 2 are so incredible. Owen looked at them and said, "What cute little babies!"
I'm getting ready to go do canvassing for Obama all day. DH is doing kid duty all weekend. I still need to find a babysitter for Tuesday.
Isaac cracks me up.
We went to Target to get candy a few days ago and I let the kids pick out a small toy. Owen first chose an Indiana Jones lego toy until he spied small Disney Tinkerbell fairies. He preferred the fairies. Liv got the Disney princesses and the two spent the afternoon exchanging them.
Got maybe 8 groups of kiddos for treating last night. I didn't have a pumpkin out or decorations out, but I left the porch light on and had candles lit in the windows so it was clear I was open for business, yet I saw some people passing by. Clearly, I should have made an Obamalantern.

Well yeah. Who wouldn't. Fairies are pretty!
Evidence of how differently my children think--
Nate, sorts through his candy and arranges it by product. All the Reese's together, all the Twix, etc.
Abby, sorts through her candy this way: "I sorted my candy by corporation. I got a good deal more from the Mars company. If this was a common trend, then I predict they had a higher profit than Hershey or Nestlé."
She does this to me before coffee. Oy.
Barb, HA. That's awesome.
Kat, I love this one with the two Things chattering. Also, we have the same Snack Trap.
Timelies all!
We ended up with a decent number of trick-or-treaters, ranging from small kids with their parents to the teenagers, some of whom weren't really trying.(One kid wore a Santa hat and his regular clothes. I gave him candy anyhow)
The Things were adorable! Love the wigs and that Noah absolutely was not into them at all.

I just kind of stared at her and went "Uh-huh." I fear for any guy she dates.
So the cats have met. I would say that the mood is wary calm. Mad props to Clio, who somehow has turned into the most nonchalant cat in the world. She met growls and hisses with the tiniest little meeps you ever heard from a cat, all the while standing her ground. So far, Jake has been the one to back down from every encounter.
