hip deep in pie

I don't have a coffeemaker, but I have a drip cone and filters, and a stovetop percolater. Both of which make enough mess that I really need to have coffee to make coffee. And frankly, I live a five minute walk from a mall that has at least three coffee places in it, so I usually get coffee from there.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I went back to the cone and electric kettle method a few years ago (I think on JessiMoon's recommendation?) and I still love it. If I could afford a new fancy-schmancy espresso machine like I used to have that might be tempting, but I have no desire for a usual drip maker.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I don't know if I can take credit, but I've been a longtime user of the electric kettle + cone filter method. It's the best way I know to make 1 cup at a time fast, and the cones are so cheap that if I wanted to I could buy a bunch of extras and make as many cups at a time as I have mugs.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Happy Birthday DCJ! Happy Anniversary Jilli and Pete!

Happy Halloween!

I have a stovetop espressomaker thing like this:http://www.laprimashops.com/Bialetti-Moka-Express-Stovetop-Espresso-Maker-12-Cup_p_35-764.html but mine cost $6.00 in the Hispanic section of the grocery store, and only makes 3 cups. But preferable to drip coffee for the price, I think.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, Daniel! Happy Anniversary, House of Reason!

I didn't want you to go either!

Ditto that.

I once woke up in a house with no way to make anything but instant coffee. It was traumatic.

I do the kettle on the stove+ cone filter. But I only drink one cup a day.

I swear, I have something like 3 french presses, which, great when I have company, but why do Ihave 3?!! I didn't buy a single one!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I almost never have coffee at home anymore. Extra sleep is just too tempting. The free office coffee is also really spoiling - if/when I change jobs I really hope they have similar machines.

ION - I am taking a half day today and really need to get moving so SOMETHING is done, a wasted day is not good..

I have a wee drip coffee maker at home that I love because it has a clock on it and the coffee can be ready when I get up in the morning to go out with the dog. At 6 a.m. I'm not thinking so much about quality as about just getting enough caffeine in my system to function.

The website says that the puppies turned 3 weeks old on the 28th.

I wish that the link would come back.

Want to see puppies.
