A piece of trivia: The Economist has never endorsed the candidate of the party currently in the White House. (In 1996, they even endorsed Dole.) So you'd figure they would be endorsing Obama this time around, and they have. With IMO the most enthusiastic endorsement they've yet given. [link]

I was just telling my coworker the same thing about Obama's staff and Flat Stanley -- it's not like other famous people don't have staff who could write a letter!
I just made a bunch of calls for MoveOn, at some "calling party." I turned out to be stuck in the middle of the age range for political activism -- half the people there were 20s, the other half were late-middle age. Ah well.
