I miss Oz. He'd get it. He wouldn't say anything, but he'd get it.

One of the puppies from the puddle got fed up with the one next to him trying to wriggle his nose under his belly, so he got up and curled up with the solo puppy. So cute!!

The puppy who's cuddling with Comrade Puppy is sleeping with his face on the bed and his butt on the side of the bed, so he's all lopsided!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I was skeptical before I clicked, but you just may be right.

This is a great story--a teacher had her class write to various celebrities with the theme being the Flat Stanley children's book (including putting a Flat Stanley in each letter), but she warned the kids not to expect any answers since these were all busy people. Obama was the only one to answer.

Obama's three-page letter to Aron described Flat Stanley's visit with him and his staff in Washington, D.C. It chronicled their busy day together, which included coffee with constituents, a Senate committee meeting and a trip to the gym. It also had historical facts about the U.S. Capitol, details of Obama's job and a confession from Obama.

"Sometimes I get a little nervous before talking in front of a crowd, but Flat Stanley helped me practice the speech," Obama wrote. "He made me recite it in front of him and then even gave me some advice so the speech would go smoothly. Flat Stanley is really a great coach."

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Although I doubt he actually wrote the letter, it says something that either 1) he felt it was important to direct his staff to do it, or 2) his staff (on its own) felt it was important. Both of these things are good signs.

Also, that kid is from near where I grew up. It's not often I see a link to The Hartford Courant.
