Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm not a huge fan of football, but I'll watch sometimes. Also, I'm the ultimate fair-weather fan - I watched the Packers a lot that season they won the Superbowl, and I'll watch the Bears when they're doing good.

I remember one game early on in that Packer Superbowl season, when Favre threw a very long pass to a receiver who was covered pretty well, and the ball ended up exactly where it had to be for the guy to catch it. Like it ended up in the foot-square area where it had to be... Amazing. (That was early in the season, when the Packers were kicking ass over everyone they played.)

Also, I miss the Bulls back when they were winning NBA championships. I don't think I've watched an NBA game on TV since....

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

But there is a quarterback ducking under a tackle attempt

So, that's the skinny guy running too fast to get sat on?

and completing a perfect deep over the shoulder pass to a double covered receiver

The skinny guy throws the ball over his shoulder a long way to a golden retriever wearing two coats?

I'm afraid all the rest of what you said is building blocks and eating blintzes offensively.

Also, Leif is wise. Girls are a lovey dovey breed!

Golden retrievers are such excellent players, the NFL makes them wear two coats just to be fair to the human players.

Oh Allyson, that's so cool! I saw her post about the guest bloggers, but just skimmed it so I didn't notice you were one of them.

eta: Oh, you're mentioned in an update to her post, which is why I didn't see it.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

It makes me mournful that Matilda seems to enjoy all this and I can't share in her delight even a little tiny bit.

This makes me sad, because I love football so much. Last week, Miami made this play, where the QB was getting rushed, and he fired it off to the receiver who was running his route and who turned his head less than a second before the ball hit his arms, making a perfect catch. It was such a beautifully planned and executed play that I jumped up and down and clapped my hands for a bit, I was so excited.

Of course, I love football best when I'm watching the Packers, Seahawks, or Bills, but I'll take almost any football.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AURELIA!!

Perfect! If Matilda continues her interest Auntie j can take her to games and JZ can go enjoy something she's into!

“Not dead yet!”

With the exception of the teams mentioned, juliana and I are as one on this. I also have the Big Love for college football.
