Hey, ex-A, Joe Blanton not only pitches beautifully in the win, he gets the first home run by a pitcher in the World Series since 1974 -- when A's pitcher Ken Holtzman hit one. Sweeeet!
I don't often talk about baseball in here, because it's like talking about my heart and it feels weird. I'm a SF Giants fan, and that's an under-statement. Anyway, some of you know that Jimmy Rollins (and Dontrelle Willis and Willie Stargell) went to my high school, and I date a Philly guy. So I am thrilled beyond all thrilled with this World Series.
good political news of the day --- my little neighborhood had a no on 8 party and raised over 3000.00 . talk talk talk of the need to protect civil rights
matt says you are pretty awesome, msbelle. I am wondering how long this will work.
Yeah, Blanton's shot was a lovely thing for a guy who basically didn't hit until a couple of months ago.
Man. Hell of a game. They really broke out in this one -- last night's ending was kind of hilariously weird, but they shouldn't have been there in the bottom of the 9th to begin with. Tonight was a completely different way to win, and in 30mumble years of following this team, they've sometimes had one, but they've very rarely been able to do both.
Thanks for the wishes, guys! We are finally alone in what is apparently this business hotel's version of the honeymoon suite (a king with a hot tub in the room) and Mr bon is grading while I am catching up on the internet.
I swear if pulls this tomorrow night he will be vacuuming. And the drying dishes is going to become almost daily, little does he know.
I'm probably gonna get a Google phone. Shocking, I know! Yay for employee discounts.
Also, speaking of Twilight, the ladies in my family are all reading it now and I just had to warn my mom that there is some pregnancy badness in the series. Now I need to find out which book it is in and e-mail my extremely pregnant sister who is bored and on bed rest that she SHOULDN'T READ THAT ONE YET.
Is the pregnancy badness in Breaking Dawn? Anyone know?
