That's one spunky little girl you've raised. I'm gonna eat her.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, msbelle, here's a random question: Did we know who Fred Armisen was when we saw that Prince Loser's Lounge?

I usually mention Anne Rice's Cry To Heaven in the lecture. This is the first year I've had a class where no one knew who she was. Even mentioning Interview with a Vampire didn't get a response.

HMOG.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I did not know who he was then and I assume from your question that he sang!?! I had not put that together - it's been yonks since I listened to that album.

To keep y'all updated. I found on of the overflow rooms almost empty and was able to move a chair to the back corner, so I can hear the service but not see the tv and hopefully will not disturb anyone with this or knitting.

Yes! It's come up on my iPod every so often. I want to say he did Kiss, but could be wrong....

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Yeah, I was almost rendered speechless. They were serious! No one had heard of Anne Rice or Interview With A Vampire. Three of the kids in the class had Twilight books with them, though, and claim to "love" vampires.

Dear Universe,

May I please have another job, now? One where students know basic cultural references would be nice.

k-thx-bye

Man, I love the internet. First Prince Show on SNL was Feb 04 [link] , Losers Lounge was May/Jun 04 [link] so theoretically, we should have known.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

OMG- not even Interview with a Vampire?

Also, the copy of Cry to Heaven that I had had a cover blurb that started "Join the glittering world of 18th century castrati..." and my BF and I only have to say those words and we crack up.

Also, I am just realzing that Anne Rice was a little obsessed with "sexless" beings who have sex, kinda sorta.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Kat! Apple Pan?

I think ita should take that attending home and call him George.

I think I was prety obnoxious once I got drugged. Everytime anyone asked me what I wanted to do next I told them it was between the attending and my specialist--I'd follow their lead. I even told the attending I had an irrational fear of being admitted and he honoured that and upped my next dose instead of telling me to sign myself in. Hell, he gave me a third dose, which most doctors won't.

Wait, so we're up a Kat P? I should act gracious about this, but, go team SoCAl!
