Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The ER doc actually told me something I didn't know! Not in any way suggesting that my knowledge medical is comparable to a doctor's, but that ER docs aren't prone to educating their patients. It's not their job. They're there to patch and dispatch accordingly.

But this guy took the time to explain why ketamine is a kid's tranq, and not an adult one, for instance.

I'm reading your post, PMM, and wondering why it's greek to me. Then I remembered I don't wear bright eye shadow. But I'm guessing it keeps shadows shaded too.

Why do velociraptors have herbivore-set eyes? Do all dinosaurs have eyes set that way?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

We like this guy!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Why is it 6:10 and still dark?

Wait, are we supposed to sacrifice a virgin on the Winter Solstice to bring the sun back? Fuck that.

Good question. T-rexes look like they have herbivore eyes, but their skulls are weirdly shaped to give them predator eyes.

Shit, now I'm earwormed with "Betty Davis Eyes."

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Finally caught up with Natter. Not so much in Bitches.

Happy belated birthday, Kate! And happy birthday to brenda as well (hoping I'm not late for this one as well, and ~ma to Lucy), and happy, blissful wedding to bon and bob!

And {{mac}}. It broke my heart to read about it. Myself, I have family with a lot of skeletons and stuff like that, so I just lied through half of my family tree school works, knowing it'll be very complicated to get the truth out, and knowing I probably don't want to know it for I don't care much about it, but it will hurt people I love more than I can bare.

ION, this period of Jewish holidays is now over. How does one cope with full week of work again, dammit? And IOON, university will start next week. Fingers crossed for no-strike-this-time, please. I really want to study.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Shir, school officially ends for me this week, so I bequeath you my "school staying open"-ma as of Friday. Not to brag, but it was a little too powerful at times when I could have used a break or long weekend, but that's the way AIC rolls.

Now tagless for your comfort.

In Jamaican patois, batty means butt. So I read this anecdote differently.

If only he had named one of the others "Fanny" we'd be set. He actually named the Wolf "Wayne" this morning.

DH is now determined to buy more pumpkins. He said three are not enough. I should really be making a pie at some point. This means making more pie crusts but I should stock up on those for the holidays.

And it worked. I'm home with no migraine, and I didn't have to fight anyone for meds while in the ER.

This is the kind of resolution I want for you all the time!

Good luck finding one. t insert complicated joke about Palin's daughters here

I'm clearly not in bandom because I have exactly zero idea of what any of you were talking about.

Sadly, ita, I do know what you are talking about. Glad the attending did the job correctly. I'm sorry you needed it done at all.

I'd offer to come hang out with you today for a bit (bringing baby though, which might mitigate the good effects of your treatment) for some burgers and pie.

Cash, have you seen www.YesWeCarve.com? Lots of inspiration, and templates for your politically active squash.

Yes, Theo! I saw their stuff on Twitter and am going to carve an Obama Pumpkin. Just need to choose which one. I should do one for us and campaign hq--they don't have any yet.
