I look more rad than Lutheranism

When Owen was walking up to bed he told Christopher, "Daddy, you know Spooky and Batty are best pumpkin friends."

Awwww. Too cute!

The status is NOT quo.

The music has finally stopped. I am relieved, but I am also frustrated at how little I was able to accomplish tonight. The next two days are really not going to be fun.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

We have survived Cobras. We have survived screaming teens.

The Cobra show was a lot a fun. Not the bestest show evar omg, but fun.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Happy birthday, Brenda! And healing-ma to Lucy.

Congrats, bon bon and bob bob! It seems only yesterday I was advising bon *not* to make her first date with internet man on Valentine's day, just because it was a romantic Hallmark day. Goes to show what I do (and don't) know.

One scary jack o'lantern (dubbed "Spooky" by Owen), bats against a moon ("Batty") and a wolf howling at a full moon.

In Jamaican patois, batty means butt. So I read this anecdote differently.

I really need to save up my pennies for a tablet, because this mouse shit ain't flyin'. Also, a bigger monitor would be nice. Two monitors would be nice, as well. Yes. And can I have Jason Momoa rubbing my shoulders, too? That'd be awesome.

Of all of this I have a tablet. I'd trade it in for most anything else on your list.

Had a good visit to the ER today. Well, not good, because good would mean I didn't have to have treatment, or anything. But the attending (I will get these terms straight one day) had a sincere and motivated attitude towards me and my pain, and seemed determined not to let me go until something had resolved itself once and for all.

He sat down so I could tell him what treatment regimen I was on, and it seemed important to him that I was being properly treated outside the ER as well as within.

And it worked. I'm home with no migraine, and I didn't have to fight anyone for meds while in the ER.

I wish this were permanent, or something, but I'm going to take what I can get, for the nonce.

Now to have cereal and juice for dinner, and poke around the TiVo before bed.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I warned you about the ridiculousness! I linked you to videos! I can link you to band primers, if you want. (Admittedly, I did not warn about the scene kids.)

The scene kids are sort of a gift with purchase.

(A shitty gift from your tacky aunt you only see once a year.)

I am decidedly in bandom. However, I don't read teh dirty fic.

(Unless you have actually sucked face on stage. Then its on your own head.)

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

ita, I wish all your ER trips were like that.

I'm not actually in bandom. I just like some of the music. And occasionally come up with stupid story ideas I would never in a million years write.

Happy BonBob Merger Day! I hope it was beautiful.

Holy crap, Urban Decay Primer Potion is the best thing ever for keeping shadow on and bright. I did my eyes when it was still light out (around 2 or 3), and wound up actually on the crowded and insane floor at the show (venues should have an adult section, damn it), and when I went to take it off a few minutes ago, it was as bright as when I'd applied it, and no creasing.

Consider this your daily pimping of beauty product.

The ER doc actually told me something I didn't know! Not in any way suggesting that my knowledge medical is comparable to a doctor's, but that ER docs aren't prone to educating their patients. It's not their job. They're there to patch and dispatch accordingly.

But this guy took the time to explain why ketamine is a kid's tranq, and not an adult one, for instance.

I'm reading your post, PMM, and wondering why it's greek to me. Then I remembered I don't wear bright eye shadow. But I'm guessing it keeps shadows shaded too.

Why do velociraptors have herbivore-set eyes? Do all dinosaurs have eyes set that way?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Why is it 6:10 and still dark?

Wait, are we supposed to sacrifice a virgin on the Winter Solstice to bring the sun back? Fuck that.
