Yay for the possibility of one more paycheck, Theo!!

My dad's half brother was the middle child in his family of 12 sibs--my grandmother (who was NOT Howard's mother) raised him with the rest of her children.

Whoah! Now that sounds like quite the story, Cash!! I can't imagine.

And four kids sleeping in one bed?? Dude. I have a hard time sharing a bed with one other person. And sometimes her cat. Or previously someone else and her dog. Three other people? Even if we were smaller people? eesh!

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

You know, Kal, it's weird how everybody thinks Obama is left of Lenin, when he's actually pretty centrist. He's probably closer to the middle than Hillary.

Right. But she's utterly convinced he's lying about what he plans to do once elected and that once he's in office he's going to start taking away civil liberties so quick it will make Cheney blush. She's thinks everyone is just completely brain-washed by Obama's charisma and ignoring the truth about him. Which is a view I constantly see championed by craxy right-wing zealots in article/blog comments, but it's scary to see it coming from an otherwise intelligent and politically liberal person I know well.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

it also assumes that an amount of cooperation with two Congressional bodies that requires a lot of hand-waving for me to believe. People think the President has complete control and Congress is just so more important in the scheme of things.

Home from the party. I am attacking my mess of a room. I need to get Pandora up so I can have some tunes going. This is the one disadvantage of moving my harddrive and speakers to the living room.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

She's getting ready for 2012.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, brenda! Continued healing for Lucy.

Good check news, Theo!

It is mad windy outside, but I have been to both the Museum of Sex and Trader Joe's. Sadly, TJ's had a fire at a warehouse, so there were virtually no frozen foods, but still.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm drifting in and out of sleep, again. Watching skating on TV right now. It's kind of making me want to skate.

I want to take a nap, but I'm supposed to be at a one year old's birthday party in an hour. I really don't want to go, especially. This group of friends seems to have turned into this bizarre boiling hotbed of drama, except that no one is telling me WHAT the drama IS, so I am REALLY confused. And it's making me crazy. I'm unclear if the drama involves me, or if I just don't know about it, or what. I wish someone would just explain. But since I don't know who is involved, I feel like I can't just pull someone aside and be like "What the fuck", because it might be the completely wrong person.

So instead, no nap, and at some point here a shower, figuring out appropriate fingerpainting clothing, a trip to the ATM and the drugstore for a card.

It's pouring out there. Pretty much has been since noon. And of course, I was out in it, getting my hair cut and running errands. Got new bras AGAIN. I swear, I just did that less than 6 months ago, but those are too big now and driving me nuts.

My cats are conspiring to make me nuts. Loki wants to eat my hair. Devi wants to eat Loki. MK wants to eat the kitten's food. MK looked me right in the eye and peed in front of the litterbox. He probably needs his insulin adjusted again (we went way low because he was eating so little.) He's eating (everything) and acting mostly like himself, talking again. Today was his last antibiotic, so fingers crossed. Oh and that one night he was acting so uncomfortable, despite me having given him the pain pill? I think I know the reason: I found that pill (only time I used food to conceal it) stuck to a blanket.....
