Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I want ice cream. If my husband's out at a business dinner and I made myself pasta, can I now have ice cream?

Jim Henson and Douglas Adams are the two strangers whose deaths still hurt. I love all the clips, and... I don't think I can pick a childhood favorite. This is one I remember seeing in reruns in my early teens, when I was old enough that I could spend the long intro trying to figure out what song they were setting up. And then when Janice started singing, I just lost it because it was so twisted.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

sarameg, the retractable ones are pretty easy to install.

Dunno how long it would last with cats in the household, though.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Strega's post reminded me that Tara (from Buffy) always made me think of the Janice Muppet (although I am not sure if the Janice Muppet is supposedto beAfrican American)

Yeah, the idea is to separate cats, but let them see and smell each other. I'll have to use a metal screen. Devi's stalkeries would be diminished if she couldn't follow through and proximity seems to be helping but it quickly devolves.

Also here's the original Muppet Show performance of Belafonte doing Turn the World Around because I love the arrangement, and it's not as cry-inducing as the funeral clip:

I always thought Janice resembled Mary Travers.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's that New York looks like Janice the muppet: [link]

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Tara always reminded me of Janice too!!!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Nice thing of the day: When I left for work, FiveThirtyEight.com gave McCain had a 6.5% chance of winning, and when I came home, it was only 3.7%
