Willow: Were there dolphins? Tara: Yes. Many dolphins at the pound. Willow: Was there a camel? Tara: There was the front of a camel. A half-camel.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's that New York looks like Janice the muppet: [link]

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Tara always reminded me of Janice too!!!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Nice thing of the day: When I left for work, FiveThirtyEight.com gave McCain had a 6.5% chance of winning, and when I came home, it was only 3.7%

Y'all, I know I've just had an emotionally long couple of weeks. I know I've spent most of that time worried or dealing with things that are fraught for me. I know I've been sick and not sleeping well on account of all of the above.

But I really need a break and oh god, I need everything to work and be well and get along for just a little while. I'd hoped to stay home one day this week and do...I dunno. Bawl my eyes out, sleep, go shopping, invest more in my 401(k). But everything conspired against me. And now I'm really wrung out and being overwrought over everything.

I'm tired of whining, and I'm tired of dealing. And it is all I can do.

Also, I hope Dana had the ice cream, and I think sarameg needs more rooms....

Aw, noodle. Do you have plans for the weekend? It's almost here!

Sarameg needs more rooms and one month she doesn't break the bank or her mind.

Poor Sara. I hope you get a break soon.

It's duck nibbles with a couple of big honking wolf bites in there. This weekend, I'll ... clean. There may be a haircut (not by my regular stylist-drama! or, well, she out on mat leave) but beyond that...I need to do my TG planning. And it is sad that even that, at this point, feels like a burden. Because any other time, I'd be looking forward excitedly, but right now I can't see that. I just see phone calls and logistics.

Man, I need to shut up. I'm obnoxious to myself.

Loki just curled up on a sleeping Mister Kitty again. It's adorable.
