sarameg, I kind of dig that house. As noted, the appalling decorating choices are... appalling, but relatively easy to fix. And not to sound like the realtor, but it looks like the owner really did try to make it efficient without feeling cramped.

And the wee little closet-kitchen is kind of adorable. I don't know how useful it would be, realistically, but lord knows it's not taking up much space. So even if it was just a "I don't have to leave the bedroom to get breakfast!" thing on weekends... well, bonus!

Because I'm lazy, yes. Anyway.

I dunno. If it was me, I'd at least go look at it. Worst case, I wind up going, "Nice concept, but I'd go insane in a week living here." If nothing else, the decor makes me think whoever lived there really took pride in the place, which means they probably kept the actual structure in good shape.

I like the house, sarameg. What paint has done, paint can undo. I rather like the outside color, but the room with the crumpled ceiling is scary.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, I say go look.

Went to one open house here in LA, and we ran out of rooms way too fast. I'd been assuming there was a second floor for the price--remember, kat?

Stir-fried beef with rice noodles, and I'm going to defrost shrimp for jerk shrimp tomorrow. I swear.

I do. Wasn't the price round $900,000? The biggest selling point was that it was near the Apple Pan.

Oh, ha! Picture #16 is excellent! Conversation piece, anyway. It does look like a nice place - the scary crumple ceiling is fabric, right? That is an interesting choice.

I think so. My neighbourhood is unreal.

The biggest selling point was that it was near the Apple Pan.

I do like that section of Pico. Walking distance to the mall and a fair number of places to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Just not $900K worth.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

And then there is 16!!

Ha! Awesome!

Elephants march through hotel lobby after it was built on their migration trail

I don't want a pet elephant, but I do want to stay in that hotel.

Pushing Daisies has been taped. Don't know when I'll get around to watching it.
