A couple of pieces of Australian music that have been entertaining me. First, The Presets' "My People". [link] The nerd in me likes the tessellation in the video.
Then there's Empire of the Sun, made up of the Sleepy Jackson's Luke Steele and Pnau's Nick Littlemore. The video for "Walking On A Dream" was shot in Shanghai. [link] Interesting seeing some of the places I visited when I got married. (I suspect a high level of bemusement from the locals when they were shooting this one.)

well, there's another - "doom of the gods" - that is more doom-y, but moira is the most common translation. (thanks to my Oxford English Dictionary & classics teacher) It means 'lot' or 'portion' and was extended to mean 'lot in life' with a lot of weight attached to it. The Moirae are so named because they're the three fates in Greek mythology - the "apportioners."

As for Columbus, Ohio, the Association did the theme song for the movie Goodbye, Columbus back in the '60s. Which I think is kind of misnamed, because one of the supporting characters (as opposed to one of the main characters) is the recent grad of Ohio State, but that's my issue.
