Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

THIS is the reason I try to teach proper comma placement to my students.... I did a double take reading this, thinking it would make sara sadder to eat MK,

Bwah! I didn't realize the implications until I read it in your post! sorry, that should read "Eat, Mr. Kitty!"

And I'm the one who gave my journalism professor brother the book "Eats, shoots and leaves"!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

"Troops to Teachers" wouldn't have those silly "certifications," they'd just walk in and be highly qualified? WHAT WHAT WHAT?!?!?!?

Remember, he voted against the GI Bill so they could go back to school. This is the only way it works out.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Wait wait wait... "Troops to Teachers" wouldn't have those silly "certifications," they'd just walk in and be highly qualified? WHAT WHAT WHAT?!?!?!?

I'm watching off and on, and didn't see the remark that prompted this, but that sounds like how Teach For America works -- about six weeks of intensive training over the summer, and then start teaching with conditional certification.

I'm watching PBS coverage after watching the debate on C-Span. Did any of the networks have them on split screen the whole time?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Every time McCain acts like Obama is an idiot who doesn't understand or pay attention or would be surprised...

Does ANYBODY buy that? Anybody at ALL think the man is less than really really fucking smart?

Aaand we're back to autism = down sydndrome

Hil, he wasn't talking about intensive training and conditional certification. They shouldn't have to bother with certification at all. It's unfair.

No, it wasn't (to my understanding) like Teach for America. I'll go back and find it later.

Just stick them in the classroom with no training?

Please reassure me it isn't mean to shut MK in the bathroom for the night. It's the only way I'll be able to leave him with food and drink the other cats won't consume. (I've had to sit next to him fending them off.) I'd shut him in the bedroom with me, but then I'd have to shut one of the others in the bathroom and they are yellers and diggers and no one would sleep. He'll be all...yeah...huh...what? OK, food, bed. Good.

I only have so many doors.
