Last night, I was watching a doc on Chicago in the 19th century, and a local political expert repeated the old joke about the woman in Indiana who was a lifelong Democrat and who wanted to be buried in Chicago. When asked why so far away from her family, she replied, "Because I want to remain active in the party!"

I don't know for sure, but it's an excellent idea. Of course, the same student was telling me about a debate they had about gay marriage -- he says, "It's fine if they want to buy houses and stuff, I don't have any trouble with that." Gee. How generous of you. Argh!

But more to the point, because of Rev. Wright it is well established he's been going to the same Christian church for 20 years. Do they think he has devoted his adult life, even before his political career, to maintaining a ruse about his religion.

Now, granted - I didn't know that until t looks at calendar last Monday, but I'm not running for PRESIDENT! And I'm pissed as hell I didn't know it all this time. So, I'm not some huge know-it-all, but Goddamn I expect a dude who wants to run the country to freaking know what the fuck he is talking about.
