Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

What's the last thing that made you smile?

A student telling me today that I was her favorite teacher, that my style was "Nuclear" and that not anyone could dress like I do and pull it off but she felt I "totally did".

Oh! And DD stopping me today to tell me how he didn't watch TV but last night he watched the best show of the new season and wanted to know if I had watched it. Then he blathered on about how well it was written and acted, how creative it was, etc. The show? The Fringe When I mentioned it being like X Files he paused and then exclaimed, "You are right! I didn't even see that!"

All I could hear in my head was one of my students saying, "Dumb-ass".

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

What's the last thing that made you smile?

msbelle's post #430.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

One of my students told me that I'm the highlight of her Tuesday.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

What's the last thing that made you smile?

A Facebook invite late last night from a favorite friend I haven't had contact with in nearly 20 years. We don't have any people in common (he was a housemate when I first went to university way back in the day) and has a super common name so if asked I would have considered him lost to the ages.

The Mentalist

My same thought, msbelle.

This just gets more and more surreal:

It seems that today during the time Barack Obama was waiting to hear back from Sen. McCain about their planned joint statement -- and while McCain says he was meeting with key advisors and becoming increasingly concerned about the financial crisis facing the country -- he was actually holding a special meeting with Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild, the expat international financier who once supported Hillary Clinton but now is supporting McCain because she thinks Obama is "elitist".

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ahhh, the Rothschilds. Salt of the Earth. I had the Lady over for a tailgate party.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

the expat international financier who once supported Hillary Clinton but now is supporting McCain because she thinks Obama is "elitist".

Seriously, a full-out tantrum. With screaming and kicking of heels and pitiful cries of "Noooooo!" whenever someone tries to make me stop.
