“Not dead yet!”

Echoing a third time,

Happy birthday, Matt!

Happy birthday, Cashmere!

Happy birthday, megan walker!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

It's clearly an auspicious day to be a Buffista. Happy birthday to Matt, Cashmere, and megan walker!

Our wings are not tired.

Happy Day! Triple happiness to the birthday Buffistas! And Happy Sukkot to those that celebrate.

I don't know how I have managed to not hear of Sukkot before today. Thanks for the link. I love reading about traditions, particularly fun interesting ones.

The kids have school and I have work today. Apparently some people get a holiday.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Thanks, everyone!

Happy Birthday, Matt, megan walker, and ita's dad!

Owen has some sort of crusty eye thing going on so I see a trip to the pediatrician in our cards for today.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthdays, y'all!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Matt! Cash! megan! ita's dad! Canadian Thanksgiving! Sukkot!

This day has a lot of exclamation points. I approve.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hippo Birdies to all!

Trudy, I read about the sand dune collapse before I came here and felt so bad for the kids and their families -- and to learn that the one kid has a Buffista connection like that brings back the feeling intensely. I hope that he can recover fully -- that he knew his mom is a good sign that there may be no lasting brain damage. Fingers crossed!

Totally unrelated to that, except that it's good news that we can share, Paul "Conscience of a Liberal" Krugman won the Nobel Prize in Economics this morning.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Oh wow, so many birthdays! Happy happies, everyone!!!

I just found out that my neighbor and I have the same birthday. We also have sons born 4 weeks apart, meaning that we probably had this conversation last year and forgot about it in a baby-induced haze of sleep deprivation.
