“Not dead yet!”

Barb! I've got your bag and I snagged a box from work to mail it in. Now I just have to get my ass over to the post office to send it out to you, which I will do tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

::ahem::

Did I mention that goddess thing yet? Seriously?

“Not dead yet!”

You can find it at Publix, GG-- it's called Gordo's and it's in the Dairy case. They have a mild and a hot-- the hot, while spicy, doesn't really sear the sinuses, more pleasantly kicky.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Teppy and Barb, I am in your club today. My sinuses are acting up, due to a nearby wildfire. [link] Yes, the destruction of homes and nature and the dangerous work of the firefighters is important, but will no one think of my poor head? Proportion, people!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Bouchercon was good. As usual with these type of cons, I returned with more books than I started with, and this time I only bought three.(Got 5 books in my goodie bag and a trade of Gotham Central vol. 1 when I attended the Batman:World's Greatest Detective? panel) Oh, and another tote bag.(The books were in the tote bag)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Why do giant cable companies suck? Why are they totally incapable of NOT sucking?

Why is it taking 20 minutes to issue me a goddamn credit?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

And why does the CW take so long to put shows up on the web? I want to watch last week's ANTM, since they aren't rerunning it this week, and it's not up yet.

Yesterday I had my eyebrows dyed to match my new hair color, which made them much too dark to be as thick as they were, so mow I've been waxed and tweezed. Ow.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Why is it taking 20 minutes to issue me a goddamn credit?

I think I mentioned the time Comcast tried to charge me $270, but instead charged me $2700. They claimed they were unable to reverse the charge. Instead they told me they wouldn't submit the charge, which meant I had to wait 5 to 7 days for the $2700 hold on my checking account to drop off....

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Why do giant cable companies suck? Why are they totally incapable of NOT sucking?

Because they're a monopoly so there's no compelling reason to be service oriented.

Hey, you know what's relaxing about the weekends? The financial markets are not in complete freefall.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Thanks, Barb! I'll swing by Publix on the way home one day and get some.
