KHAAAAAAAAAAN.

Mother's Cookies, an Oakland institution for 92 years, has been shuttered, its owner seeking bankruptcy protection for the company.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I just realized that Gud's "some people need to chill the fuck out" statement was directed at me. I wasn't talked about McCain. I was talking about the things that the people in that video I linked to were saying. I think McCain is probably terrified of the craziness he and Palin have unleashed, which is why he backed away from the mess he's been making today. But I do think that the way he and Palin have been talking about Obama has mobilized a group of people holding some very ugly opinions about Obama, not to mention the rest of America.

Anyway, if you were confused, I don't think McCain is a radical. I think he's an opportunist willing to say just about anything that will get him elected. And I think that he just today realized that he was crossing a line.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Don't know what we consider a radical. Bush is a radical compared to the Presidents before him. And McCain is to the right of Bush on foreign policy.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I just realized that Gud's "some people need to chill the fuck out" statement was directed at me.

I thought it was directed at the McCain supporters in the article you linked to.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Corwood, I read it as billytea did, FWIW.

“Not dead yet!”

My BIG smile of the morning: first grade teacher getting married at SF City Hall is surprised by her class waiting on the front steps to throw rose petals:

Oh, that made me tear up-- that was soooooo sweet.

ION, Gronk. I didn't even make it to ten last night before I passed out. However, didn't sleep well because Mooshu's yeast infection seems to be back and he spent the night snorfling and biting at his groin.

God, but that's loud.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

McCain did earn back a little of the respect he's lost from me by trying to tell the crazies that you can actually disagree with someone and think your approach is better without demonizing them.

I was just writing elsewhere: "Eating crow is the least he deserves under the circumstances." Personally, I'd condemn him to have to write "Barack Obama is an honest and decent man" one hundred times on a chalkboard, to be simulcast on all networks.
