Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I thought we established with the Edwards thing that the Enquirer is always trustworthy...?

Okay, so I asked a co-worker if she had time yesterday to proof a document I've been working on. She said yes and took it, but didn't look at it until this morning. So I asked her to return it to me before lunch. She now just returned it to me half done (it's now 2) because she doesn't have time to finish it. I was supposed to have this into my boss this afternoon, and there's no way it's going to get done.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Too over the top for me.

“Not dead yet!”

(Notice how they can't seem to plan a pregnancy? What is UP with that?)

Apparently, according to the blurb on Pop Tarts, Jamie-Lynn assumed she couldn't get preggers while breastfeeding the wee one.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ugh, Sue. Why are people so people-like sometimes?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It is a pretty common assumption. But doesn't everyone know siblings less than (or close to) a year apart?? I don't get why people still assume it.

Huh. The racists are undecided....

An Obama supporter, who canvassed for the candidate in the working-class, white Philadelphia neighborhood of Fishtown recently, sends over an account that, in various forms, I've heard a lot in recent weeks.

"What's crazy is this," he writes. "I was blown away by the outright racism, but these folks are f***ing undecided. They would call him a n----r and mention how they don't know what to do because of the economy."
