Now you can luxuriate in a nice jail cell, but if your hand touches metal, I swear by my pretty flowered bonnet, I will end you.

“Not dead yet!”

You'll probably need to get a new outfit to go with those.

Boots at the very least.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

One of our servers at work just crashed with a "PCI streaming byte hole error".

Heh. Next time a computer crosses me, I'll have to threaten to tear it a new byte hole.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Kat - I play the straight man to IT comments all day long, mostly they are said softly so only my cube neighbor even hears them. It's amazing how many IT conversations lend themselves to straight man mock-dismay or Beavis comments of "huh huh you said mount".

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

the old RV.

Old as in "there's also a new one" or as in "scary rust bucket"?

One of our servers at work just crashed with a "PCI streaming byte hole error".

That's going to leave a scar.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

"PCI streaming byte hole error".

I can see Lee Ermey screaming this into Vincent D'onofrio's face: "What is your damage son? Do you have a streaming byte hole error in your skull?"

It is a bit rusty, but it looks serviceable.

I'm already wearing what my nephew dubbed my witch shoes (they are just very pointy and black and high.)

It's amazing how many IT conversations lend themselves to straight man mock-dismay or Beavis comments of "huh huh you said mount".

No kidding. Sometimes I feel like the only one in our group who realizes how wrong certain things sound and I don't want some of these people know blue I can be.

Though my all time favorite report wasn't even filthy sounding. I just got to explain we were down because "a wheel fell off." I don't get to say that very often wrt computers.

"PCI streaming byte hole error".

Sounds like the PCI bus streamed too much data into one place and it collapsed into a digital singularity (not to be confused with The Singularity) where not even assembly code can escape out.

Or maybe just the bit bucket was full....

Dark Flow, baby.
