All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Cubs are swept.

Huh. This is the scenario they should've had the bar cutoff for.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Dear relatively new friends of mine,

You cannot call me "cutie". Or "babe". Nor "baby". Or "sweetie".
These reserve to people who knows me for a long time, I'm confidante of their personality, link and affection to me and vise versa, and ran out of names to me (for my name isn't very nicknamey in Hebrew).

Also, it's morning. I need a hard dose of sarcasm, not fake sugar.

Love,
She who doesn't want to stick sharp objects in her eyes.

I need more coffee.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hope you found more coffee, Shir, and that you're not slumped over your keyboard in a daze!

I woke up early but then I went to sleep fairly early (10?) so it should balance out.

I just watched last night's SNL Palin sketch and had to stop it several times because I was laughing too hard to follow it. Not only did they nail Palin, their Biden impersonation was awesome, and Queen Latifah had to work overtime not to crack up. Kudos to all -- SNL has just justified its continued existence for the past ten years or so.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, I had. It was good.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

back at work! Or technically, waiting for Engineer#2 to show up so we can go inside. Did I mention BLEH!!!!!

ION I got used to texting on the iphone's vertical keyboard and now I'm using it in landscape and it's taking me forever to type anything

Kat! Tomorrow?? I could leave the house.

Ok!! We're at the Petersen Museum at 10:00 for K's class but we pretty much have all afternoon.

Oh FAILBlog, how you comfort me in my time of need. (aka, being at work ALL FRELLING WEEKEND.)

(I really shouldn't complain. I'm getting paid overtime to sit on my arse and catch up on blogs while the two engineers do all the real work. BUT STILL.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But, I'll wait a week if you will. We can be glasses buddies!

Right on! Progressives sound scary to me!

“Not dead yet!”

Barb and askye, my dad tells me that the Wisconsin game was oddly subdued because the entire band has been suspended.

I was watching part of that game and wondered why it seemed so quiet.

Biggest mistake people tend to make is thinking that bands are full of laid back introverted geeks.

Oh, and Cash, did you know that the genesis of the Marching Chiefs is all in OSU band traditions? All of our original band directors came from OSU.

So true.
