copped a squat
Oh, this is a good one. Over the summer, I was at a picnic, and my friend asked if I think "pop a squat" means to pee outside, or just sit down. I was like, well first of all, it's "cop a squat," but then I'm not sure -- I think I could go either way with context.
What say you all? Cop v. pop, sit v. pee.

What I've heard most often is "plop a squat," and always to mean "hey, grab a seat, sit down, etc."
I think it might vary by region.
I used it in this case because of the actual cop. I mostly use it as "sit". Unless I'm in a bathroom or peeing in front of police.
Cop a squat = pee outside.
Karate is complete. Now we head home.
I've never heard it in any form.
Me neither! I'd probably get the idea, though.

Likewise. Apparently regional. Clear in meaning.
Cop a feel - that I have heard.
Well, I know why Theo has never heard "pop a squat"-- because I remember it from Pretty Woman!
