Wesley: Hey. Hey, Gunn. Is something weird going on? … Charles, you just peed on my shoes. Gunn: I'll be damned. That's weird.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

So, what's everyone having for lunch?

Chicken and sausage "gumbo" with a shit ton of hotsauce, because I'm afraid I'm coming down with something.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I had a burrito and then there was free food when I got back, so I had a little salad and sandwich.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am having a Luna bar and some baby carrots. Plus Raisinets for, um, the healthy fruit aspect.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hmmm. I wasn't hungry for lunch, but I am now. I hadn't thought about what I'm having yet, although I know what I'm having for dessert, because the nice Schwan's man delivered me a pint of peanut butter passion ice cream.

Probably something lame. I'm eating all three meals alone today; the SO has a big giant sound gig, wherein he sits idly at the sound board all day at a realty conference. But it pays well. So Seabiscuit & I have a day together.

In other news, a yellowjacket has discovered my hummingbird feeder. And the hummingbirds have mostly departed, so it's just him cleaning up the sides of the feeder. It is much less fun watching it than watching hummingbirds.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This is weird: Battleground Polls Show Stunning Shift To Obama

Barack Obama has opened up significant leads in virtually every key battleground state, according to multiple polls released Wednesday. The size of the shift towards the Democratic nominee may indeed be historic.

"It is difficult to find a modern competitive presidential race that has swung so dramatically, so quickly and so sharply this late in the campaign," says Peter Brown of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. "In the last 20 days, Sen. Barack Obama has gone from seven points down to eight points up in Florida, while widening his leads to eight points in Ohio and 15 points in Pennsylvania."

The latest Quinnipiac polls show Obama crossing the 50 percent threshold in all three of those states:

Florida: 51 - 43

Ohio: 50 - 42

Pennsylvania: 54 - 39

I cannot believe my eyes!
Is the world finally growing wise?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had a turkey and brie sandwich for lunch.

“Not dead yet!”

I want Jesse's sandwich.

I had another Lean Cuisine. Whee.

Farkin' stress-induced weight gain.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It wasn't all that. And I ate it too fast and am now kind of nervous about my upcoming Fancy Meeting, so. Meh.

Punishingly Intricate

I am having leftover steak i made w/ a balsamic reduction + roasted cauliflower and potato (and garlic) and an heirloom tomato on a mesclun/arugula mix. I had it yesterday also and it was shockingly unsatisfactory. The steak was too tough. But I guess another day of marinating in the sauce plus a couple of minutes in the microwave did the trick. It is delicioso!
