Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Ginger, research has shown that people can sleep-eat while using Ambien.

I had read that, but the Ry-Crisp incident was the first time I'd seen any evidence I was doing it. The only previous incidents were ones in which I fell asleep in my clothes and had no memory of going to bed. I don't keep much food around that a sleeping person could figure out how to eat. I suppose I could wake up standing in front of the refrigerator eating pickles and celery.

And let me say, I though glucosamine/chondroitin was hooey, but if I skip a couple of days my knees remind me fast.

I should probably try that. My knees definitely remind me if I haven't had my minimum daily requirement of ibuprofen.

I take a calcium-magnesium suppliment; sometimes it seems to help with the insomnia, other times it does nothing at all.

Jilli, maybe you need the magnesium without the calcium? Or no, that doesn't make sense. Maybe you need a higher dose?

I should probably try that

It was recommended to me by Hubby's orthopedic surgeon, along with 1600 mg of Ibuprofen a day. I've stopped with the ibuprofen because the gluc/chon is sufficient.

ETA, do you have a recommended company? I know quality control is a big issue wrt dietary supplements.

Osteo Biflex is what the surgeon named. I bounce around between the different dosages/formulations depending on what's on sale, but I take around 1000 mg a day. It's not cheap stuff but it's almost always on sale, sometimes on 2 for 1.

You guys, I have to share this! When I had my picture taken for the billboard, the ad agency told me that they'd print and frame one of the pictures and send it to me. Well, I came home yesterday to a big FedEx box with a huge 8 x 10 in a brushed metal frame AND a mini billboard! It's so cute! I want to set it on the floor and let the cats rampage like they're Godzilla cats.

OMG, totally adorable! And I want to see pictures of rampaging Godzilla kitties!
