You guys, I have to share this! When I had my picture taken for the billboard, the ad agency told me that they'd print and frame one of the pictures and send it to me. Well, I came home yesterday to a big FedEx box with a huge 8 x 10 in a brushed metal frame AND a mini billboard! It's so cute! I want to set it on the floor and let the cats rampage like they're Godzilla cats.

I leave for Krakow on Tuesday to teach for a week at a university there. I've zapped the syllabus over, but no one has officially answered my questions about computer access in the classroom, or how many students I'll have or, you know, what time the classes are scheduled. This is making me a bit crazy, and taking away from the "this is going to be so much fun" feeling I think I should have.
My diamond shoes are tight today.

I have found that the American sense of urgency does not translate so much over in Europe. Likely you'll find out when you absolutely need to, not a moment before, and possibly several moments after.
