t puts on jaunty RN hat
Titrating the various -codones to personal pain relief is no big deal. We do it all the time at the hospital, and routinely give 15 mg of oxycodone every 4 hours to people in severe pain. No problem whatsoever. You might feel nauseated, and you may never poop again (the two most common side effects of narcotics are nausea and constipation), but you'll get some pain relief, which is very important.
But I must beg you please please please never to take more than 975 mg of acetaminophen every six hours, with a maximum daily dose of 4 grams, and then don't sustain that dose for more than 10 days.
Many pain medications are some combination of narcotics (oxycodone, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, etc.) and acetaminophen (also abbreviated as APAP) in varying dosages, usually written as 2.5/325, 5/650, etc., with the former being the narcotic dose and the latter being the acetaminophen dose.
Acetaminophen toxicity is very dangerous and the liver damage can be irreversible. It can be fatal. There's no antidote, and it's just an ugly, ugly thing.
OK, I'm all done. I hope that didn't sound too preachy.
My brother has an ancient taurus (I think) he got on the cheap. It came with a suspicious stain (we've decided it is from a dead body) but is a total workhorse. He got it for gas mileage and calls it the green goblin. May yours prove to be as solid.
That hat is surely jaunty!

Please, come to Florida and make the state a better place to live!

I don't appear to have any allergies to meds other than Erythromyocin.
In this, Barb is me. I had an almost identical reaction.
So much I would love to post. Exhausted, though, and just can't seem to make thoughts and fingers behave. I think I'm going to take sleepy medicine, have a cup of sleep and try to get some rest. I'm just not sleeping well at all these days.
thanks GG! Maybe we will have a Florida quorum yet.

Oh, that's what the APAP is on Hubby's drugs. God, his liver must be like Swiss cheese, but he gets lots of monitoring tests.
well, if we do come, I will be the Very South Florida Captive. Seriously, any more and I'll be in the ocean.
Buffistas will take over Florida one region at a time.
Lordy, I wish that you all had joined forces before the 2000 election!
