Can I whine a little? I know my job is to be the rational one in the house right now--- but always responding in an uberrational matter to everything might kill me. and when I try to whine a little to my friends -- they try to tell me that Matt is going through some badshit. I know that. That's why I am whining to other people, not yelling at him.

Bad friends! No cookie! Of course you can whine here. Obviously everything that affects Matt affects you, and you need to be able to vent about it somewhere so that you can be supportive of him, like he needs you to be.

Well, sure he is -- but so are YOU. The things that affect Matt end up affecting you, too. I can't believe your friends don't see that.
thanks, sj -- I think it is so weird that people don't believe that I know how it is for Matt. Really, I live with him and have for many years -- I know how bad his head space can get.Much more than other people know, he hides it well.

The interview got pushed back to two weeks, I'm taking that to be "life is weird, damned scheduling" rather than "Hm, let's see if we get anybody else." Plus the monthly joy will liekly be over by then.

I think they see, but somehow they need to explain how bad it is for him. I think it is just because they like him so much -- they want to protect him
I posted a post but I don't know if I put it in the wrong forum or it just disappeared. Basically it was ~ma for all who needs it and a declaration of love for all you Buffistas in the glowey box. I hate it when you hurt.
and now for some comic relief...
Holy boy I had a weird dream last night. Angel was my boyfriend (even though he's never been in my top 10 Whedon characters) and he gave me a cigar but it was the shape of a quahog and very moist and unstable. I had to keep puffing on it to keep it lit and I had to hold it with both hands to keep it from unravelling. Freud would have loved it; it was clearly not just a cigar.
COB meeting didn't happen. Apparently 9am tomorrow is the new bat time.
