I have an interview next week! They liked the writing samples!
This is my first ever interview when it's "One person will get one job." I've always had "we're looking for mostly sane people who are coherent and aren't likely to shoot up the place." Well, not that bad. I don't know if I have any competitors. They may have had an open job for a while and no takers.

I know my job is to be the rational one in the house right now--- but always responding in an uberrational matter to everything might kill me. and when I try to whine a little to my friends -- they try to tell me that Matt is going through some badshit. Bad friends! No cookie! Of course you can whine here. Obviously everything that affects Matt affects you, and you need to be able to vent about it somewhere so that you can be supportive of him, like he needs you to be.

thanks, sj -- I think it is so weird that people don't believe that I know how it is for Matt. Really, I live with him and have for many years -- I know how bad his head space can get.Much more than other people know, he hides it well.
