Lindsey: Why--why did you... Lorne: One last job. You're not part of the solution, Lindsey. You never will be. Lindsey: You kill me? A flunky?! I'm not just...Angel...kills me. You...Angel... Lorne: Good night, folks.

'Not Fade Away'

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

He loves soy milk, but I'd rather he get most of his calories from solid foods. Flax oil is a good idea.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

If he likes it. I hate the taste of flax oil. Hopefully he doesn't.

Trust my rage

This seems to be a common thing with vegan parents -- mixing flax seed oil into bean soups or dal or whatever.

I stepped away for a while but I've seen this a lot when parents are trying to help kids gain some weight - also with olive oil. What about oatmeal?

One nice thing about kid #2 is that now I know it's not *me*. I fed them the same - one is skinny with ribs sticking out and the other is a big chub.

Our wings are not tired.

Happy Birthday to Erika!

Bobby likes to snack on Slim Jims. They have to be calorie rich.

And yes, teen boys can eat an amazing amount of food. I now need to order 4 large pizzas for 4 people, and I am not pulling my full share here.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And here I am shaking my head at CJ, wondering if there is anything in the kitchen he WON'T eat. Boy has grown 3, almost 4 inches so far this year and is eatting like a maniac. He is finally over 5' tall, much to K-Bug chagrin. He only weighs 101 lbs though.

But dang, last night I thought I'd be able to make lunch from the leftovers and NOPE, he ate it all.

Emmett's like this now. He just shovels food into his gob for hours on end. I suspect another growth spurt is on us.

However, right now he's sitting in the office at school with yet another mystery malady. He seems to have badly pulled something in first period PE.

Ugh. We just spent 3 hours last night catching up on missed homework from when he was out sick for two days the second week of school. The workload is so high this year that missing days has a huge negative consequence. He's going to miss a pre-algebra test today too that he'll have to make up.

On top of all that, it's parent-teacher night and his mom can't go. So if I take him back to the city I'll either have to drive back for the P-T, or nobody will go. Feh.

I blame the gym teacher!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, damn, darling. You and Emmett both.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Happy birthday, Erika!

Poor Emmett, poor Hec.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Anybody bored today? Please go click around my DH's cool blog [link] and read his reviews and stuff [link]

He gets paid per page hit and readership is down (no wonder, since who wants to drive SUVs with gas prices so high?). So any visit helps muchly.

brillig

This is odd. There are two divorced men I work with, and they always refer to their ex-wifes as "my wife." I don't think they think they're going to reconcile, and maybe it's just a reflection of them not wanting to be divorced, but it's disconcerting. I keep wanting to say, "But I thought you were divorced."

I clicked around! I even clicked on assorted ads, affiliate and sponsored links.
