Good luck. Try not to kill people. Hands! Hands!

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

This is odd. There are two divorced men I work with, and they always refer to their ex-wifes as "my wife." I don't think they think they're going to reconcile, and maybe it's just a reflection of them not wanting to be divorced, but it's disconcerting. I keep wanting to say, "But I thought you were divorced."

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Please go click around my DH's cool blog [link] and read his reviews and stuff [link]

I clicked around! I even clicked on assorted ads, affiliate and sponsored links.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Is this another piece on Goth fashion - or the one that's been on the NYT website for a while?

sumi, it's another piece on Goth fashion. Between the FIT exhibit and the "return to Goth" that is supposedly a fall fashion trend, we spooky types are currently media darlings.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Bless you, Hec!

I have his blog bookmarked and I try to remember to click around in there at some point during the day.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

half-assed meara, about the only kind i do these days...

Then he reminded me about all the times I've handed over keys to buffistas without being clear on RL names.

Hee! ::waves back::

I'm wondering if there's something I could do this year that might appeal specifically to the, er, "alternative" kids. That is, both the goth kids and the not-quite-goth-but-similarly-disengaged (from mainstream high school culture, anyway).

Emily, there are some books out there that might be helpful, like Sew Subversive and Generation T. Everyone's got T-shirts to mod, and a trip to a thrift store would provide cheapos for those who don't. Many of the Generation T mods are low- or no-sew.

Of course, I'm also a descriptivist rebel who merrily splits infinitives and ends sentences with prepositions and spits in the face of the Latinate rules shoved willy-nilly onto a Germanic language by stick in the mud twerps with some sort of mental hard-on for a dead tongue.

God, Plei, that's one of the sexiest things I've ever read.

Other than that, I don't have much. Woirk, feh. Waiting for 5 so I can go hear some music and socialize. First time KBD gets to meet any of my friends, should be interesting.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Taking a long nap was not on the to do list for today, but my body somehow made it a priority. Too much left to do and no time to do it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I have to run to a meeting and then class, but suggestions for Jessica from another mom of an underweight kiddo: hummus and refried beans. Franny could eat them all day.

Punishingly Intricate

Franny could eat them all day.

Me too! I just had like 1/2 a container of hummus.

Maybe I'm secretly a toddler?!

Hummus is great! My wife and kids won't eat it though, crazy.
