Ellie hates avocado and I always was able to use dairy fats to try to fatten her up a bit.
(I was just going to suggest peanut butter.)
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What are good high-calorie-non-dairy foods?
Bacon!!!!
Parents, I need toddler food ideas. D's doctor is concerned about his weight gain and a possible milk allergy/sensitivity. What are good high-calorie-non-dairy foods? (Other than french fries, which I've already thought of.)
Avocado's good. Mashed potatoes with non-dairy butter substitute. Did he have a percentile drop on the charts or something?
Egg Noodles?
Eeesh. It seems like everything high calorie we give Em has dairy and/or nuts.
Pot pies. Em LOVES pot pies. And spaghetti. She's a big fan of ramen.
Snack foods are usually applesauce, vanilla wafers, toasted Wheat Thins.
Cereal is great too, if he'll snack on it. If he likes it with milk, rice milk is pretty kid friendly. Specially the vanilla.

like olive oil? yum
man, I want this toddler diet!
My best friend's 2-year old daughter has stopped only eating goldfish (and drinking milk) to eating goldfish and things that are on other people's plates! Her twin brother continues to eat basically whatever you put in front of him. And things off her plate.
And here I am shaking my head at CJ, wondering if there is anything in the kitchen he WON'T eat. Boy has grown 3, almost 4 inches so far this year and is eatting like a maniac. He is finally over 5' tall, much to K-Bug chagrin. He only weighs 101 lbs though.
But dang, last night I thought I'd be able to make lunch from the leftovers and NOPE, he ate it all.
TCG's dad, step-mom, and step-brother, are coming over tonight for dinner and to install the AC that his step-mom and dad got us for the shower.
Did anyone else wonder why they needed AC in the shower? Just me? Okay, need coffee.

I never claimed to be coherent today. Need more tea and some sort of motivation to go to the market, do laundry, and start baking/cooking.
Did he have a percentile drop on the charts or something?
Yes, but of course DH can't tell me the exact #s (it was his turn to take him). Based on what he remembered, I think D's only gained half a lb in the last 3 months.
I'm not terribly concerned myself because (1) he has a good appetite and (2) he runs around all day like a crazy person on speed. But his doc said he should be gaining more so I'm being a good obsessive mommy and Googling the shit out of it. And making an appointment with an allergist.
She also said he has good reflexes and more words than a typical 15-month old. So he may be too skinny, but he's also CLEARLY A GENIUS, so it evens out.
