Stephanie, not boring at all!!! I'm v. much looking forward to having you back on the mainland.
Hi y'all. My dear silly boy has told me what he's getting me for my birthday, which was off a list I provided. I'm so amused I don't even care that I won't be surprised.
Stephanie, not boring at all. Moving is an adventure! (trust me, I know all too well).
In Me news... cold is growing.
Oh no! It's way too nice outside here to have a cold!
Tell me about it. Finally, walking between the two buildings was a nice experience and not a dance in walkwherethereisshade thing. And here I am sniffling and running low on tissues. Once these things are blown, I'm outta here. To pick up more, and since the market is right next to home. BAM. to the lay-z-boy I go! Gatorade, tylenol, remote control, and blankie.
Teppy, power~ma.
Stephanie, good luck making the decision about where to live. It's a difficult decision to make.
In news no one will be surprised about -- people looking for employees are not always smart.
I've answered two phone calls today for DH today. I explained to them -- the cell phone is a better way to get in touch with him. The second guy tried to complain about only getting voice mail.Well d'uh , he is at work. and the soonest he will get a message at home, is hours after he gets a voice mail off the phone that is attached to him
I don't know much about places in DC for kids, other than that all my friends who have kids live in Arlington.
Thanks for the ~ma for my cousin.
My FAVORITE dumb question is "Do you know when s/he'll be off the phone?"
Dude. How could I POSSIBLY know that? What are the odds the precise time of this phone call was known and announced to me?
The one way I might know is if someone had to get off the phone by a particular time and it was my job to tell them -- and in that case they're not available to communicate with you anyway.
Stephanie, my best friend lives in the DC suburbs (VA) in a 1-car family (so they live near the metro - both commute into the city) and they have a kid. I can hook you up if you want. They have been thinking about buying, so have learned a lot. They used to live in Alexandria (yellow line) and now live in Arlington (orange).
Happy birthday Nora!
Wow, so far Hec wins the crazy morning drop-off award. I thought I was unhappy about Franny's school starting at 8, but it's only 2 miles from my house. I really should count my blessings.
Casper's school starts at 7:45, but it's only 4 blocks from our house. We need every single second of time saved that we can get, though. My god does that child hate to get up in the morning.
Mine are fine with getting up, it's getting dressed that leads to tears.
