I've never been asked for any sort of identification when picking up meds. And there have also been plenty of times when I've picked up stuff for my mom with no problem. I can remember a bunch of times when I was in middle school or high school that she'd send me into the pharmacy to pick up something and charge it to her account. (That was a tiny small-town pharmacy, though, where I think the pharmacist knew who I was.) Thinking back on it now, though, I am pretty surprised they allowed an unsupervised 13-year-old to pick up medications.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Okay, to distract myself, I have been watching S4 of The Office.
I just watched the "Dinner Party" episode.
Melora Hardin is a comedic genius. We've seen flashes of Jan Levinson's insanity, but in this episode she hits Ricky Gervais levels of sublime. That was amazing.
Gosh, vw - much punctuation to you, love. And Vortex, I too want to smite the dickheads who have sent hassling emails.
(Seriously, we could all email them for you! It would be like lurkers supporting you in email, only in reverse. Or something.)
A mighty yay for S's good news and Suzi's good news, though. 'Bout time!
Yay Suzi's mom!
I was able to pick up Dad's meds the other week. The Walmart pharmacist asked for his birth date, but she didn't seem to check it against anything. So either she keeps all the client birth date data for Forsythe County in her head, or she figured I sounded convincing.
What still bemuses me is that I can buy $50-$60 woth of gas at the pump, but if I go inside, they make me sign for it.
I also noticed the other week that I have a large number of checks with my current driver's license number on them. When I renew in October, the state DL numbering system has changed, so they will be outdated.
So I decided to start using more checks. Oh. My. Dog. I am glad I went to using the check card for most things. Wal*Mart was the worst, processing my check at the till having me sign a slip that I paid electronically by check, and physically checking my ID matches the check.
With the checkcard, it goes through like a visa, I don't have to sign (electronically) if under $25 and they seldom ask for ID any more.
No wonder 95% of all my banking/purchasing is done electronically.
After my last move it took about a year to use up my old checks. Aside from rent and some of my utilities, I just don't write them any more.
That was amazing.
THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!!!
I use checks for the electric and gas bills and D's daycare, and that's it. My checks still have my address from 2 apartments ago on them because I use them up so slowly.
oh my ... caption anyone?
