The Emotional side isn't really listening to the Rational side. Not sure it ever does....

I think that's pretty much what the Emotional side is made for. Sometimes they coincide, sometimes you have to go with one or the other, and hopefully you end up with a balance between them over the long term. If it were a wimpy little Emotional side that always listened to reason, it wouldn't be worth having one at all.

I'm breaking for you, Sean. But you're a good man, and you're doing what's right. And even so, that doesn't ever make it easy.

As it was happening to me it was more of a "Fuck. Seriously? Fuck."

"Scary" only for a bit until I determined the car was not about to burst into flames. And then the serpentine belt snapped. And it was scary again for a second.

And then a CAT jumped from behind the garbage cans JUST WHEN THE MUSIC WAS GETTING EERIE...
