'Heart Of Gold'

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Sorry about the screwed up glowing AC compressor, Joe.

I am too, but I kinda wish I could have seen it.

Me too.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Me three. Get it straight, people! Metaphorical meltdowns call for punctuational hugs; literal meltdowns call for flickr sets!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I am too, but I kinda wish I could have seen it.

In my brain it was scary yet beautiful. Glad you made it to the shop OK, MM.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

speaking of my brain... This morning I drove past a guy who was wearing a long-sleeved blue sweatshirt, a red vest and a red & blue cap but when I first glimpsed him I thought he was Spider-Man. Yes, I am a geek.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

when I first glimpsed him I thought he was Spider-Man

Thought he was dressed as Spider-Man, or thought he WAS Spider-Man? Do we need to worry about the voices taking over?

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I really love you guys.

Sorry about the screwed up glowing AC compressor, Joe.

I am too, but I kinda wish I could have seen it.

Me too.

Me three.

It was kinda awesome in the "If this was happening to someone else this would be made of Awesome and filed under 'Suh' for 'Suh-weeeeet!'"

As it was happening to me it was more of a "Fuck. Seriously? Fuck."

In my brain it was scary yet beautiful.

I don't know about "beautiful". Neat, though.

"Scary" only for a bit until I determined the car was not about to burst into flames. And then the serpentine belt snapped. And it was scary again for a second.

And then a CAT jumped from behind the garbage cans JUST WHEN THE MUSIC WAS GETTING EERIE...

Anyway.

I'd give ya hugs, Sean, but that wouldn't be all manly. So, uh...

{{chuck on the shoulder for Sean}}

Thought he was dressed as Spider-Man, or thought he WAS Spider-Man?

It wasn't in my brain more than a split second, just like, you know how you wake up in the middle of the night and there's a scary guy in an overcoat in the corner and then you remember it's your coat rack? Kinda like that, only broad daylight.

“Not dead yet!”

The Emotional side will come around eventually. Or, at least tone down to a dull roar of peaceful resignation. This is one of those things that takes time. I hate saying it just as much as I hated having to learn it the hard way.

WindSparrow put it right. I think all of us go through this, to some degree or another. And the fact that you don't feel strong? Dude, that's what makes you human.

Also, in a complete emotional 180, count me among the craxies who would've loved to have seen the glowing compressor.
