Oh ita, sorry about the ER visit. Oh gee, I hope Bob Bob can get his Rx filled too.
Ouch. Wasn't that an old guy?
Oh sorry, my bad for posting while half asleep. I can see my grammar makes no sense. Yeah, bro's friend is his age, he's not the one who ran into the pedestrians. That was indeed an old guy. But his victims overloaded UCLA's ER not that long after the friend was admitted.
Happy belated birthdays, Polter-Cow and Billytea!
I'm at friends near Tel Aviv. Ideally, would have gone to the beach and have something to eat with other friends, but my will not to be hassled by other fellow nice human beings was stronger than my will to have food and milkshake (or just milkshake, if I couldn't find food I can chew) by the sea. You see, none of the 7 people I called are anywhere near here/available today without notice. Oh well.
In the meantime, sleeping, doing lists in my head of things to do before university starts (my God, there's a lot to do), watching old B&W movies and Cartoon Network and reading all of the weekend posts that I usually read on Sunday, while working, today.
Last night, at the bachelorette party, besides alcohol, one of the women there had her hair dyed in shiny blue-purple. Even though I saw her some times before with that color, it was magnificent. I think she said it's called "special effects", and she especially orders it from the interwebs. And I knew - I just KNEW - look, people. I'm not the one to dye her hair, but I just know that somewhere along my first year in university I'd feel like a paper/books robot, and I'll have to dye my hair that color, to remind myself I still have some free will and personality. They may be mostly stored in my hair, but there are somewhere there.
Going back to J-city in less than two hours to catch a good show. Resting. Needs more food.
Edit: peopled should be a word. IJS.
Off on a pub trivia boat cruise. Naturally it's raining on the first day I get out on the water all summer, but it should still be fun.
Ok, a pub trivia boat cruise sounds like the coolest thing ever.
Last night I fell asleep on the couch, woke up at about 3 am, went to bed and slept 'til 9 ish. I'm having pain in the tooth that I broke - which sucks because I cannot afford to go to the dentist 'til mid-October at the earliest.
Maybe I should make some ice for it.
I'm having too much fun turning old, lush, wacko pulp magazine covers into icons for LJ.
Oh, Theo, I meant to ask about that -- where's that stash of covers you found?
peopled should be a word. IJS.
It is, if you want to say something like "The valley was soon peopled with refugees from the war."
Turns out the UCLA ER received
50
cases from the crash. Going in at 1AM was well worth it, because killing time is better done in the comfort if my own home, if home killing must be done.
Ouch, sumi...
:: instead rant about insurance and medical necessity::
Oh, sumi, I meant to say that Roger Federer's dance after the US Open win
was
terribly cute. It's great to see emotion from him of the gleeful sort--I remember when he used to cry after winning and you couldn't tell he was the victor.
Hated that, what with me being all allergic and all.
Okay, now I gotta go hunt through every CD I own to find my copy of MS Project. I promised an interviewer I could provide them a project plan in that format, but forgot that I hadn't installed it on the new machine yet. I'm amazed and a bit disenchanted that they asked first for a
real
project plan. That either makes me a nut or a thief--if it happened at work, it's work product. If not, who does project plans in their off duty time?
