I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

I need some of Allyson's sticktoitiveness with the weight loss.

this is me.

I'm hoping to get my schedule more on track once school starts. The plan is to stop by the gym on the way home. I figure I can work of the day's frustrations that way.

I would go before work (the gym opens at 5). Alas, I am not a morning person and simply getting to the school by 7 am, and trying to be civil, is going to take everything I can muster.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Crap. I found a very expensive set of language cards on sale at an educational website for a ridiculously low amount ($3.00 for a $144 set). I knew it was a mistake but thought I would order it anyway to see what happened.

I just got a call from the company telling me it was a mistake and they could not honor that price.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I know I shouldn't make fun of other cultures, but....

Saudi religious police ban pet cats and dogs

RIYADH (AFP) - Saudi Arabia's religious police have announced a ban on selling cats and dogs as pets, or walking them in public in the Saudi capital, because of men using them as a means of making passes at women, an official said on Wednesday.

...

The reason behind reinforcing the edict now was a rising fashion among some men using pets in public "to make passes on women and disturb families," he said, without giving more details.

Othman said that the commission has instructed its offices in the capital to tell pet shops "to stop selling cats and dogs".

Ann, that's a ferret.

The mind reels, tommy. In so many directions at once. I would say, "Egad," but that doesn't seem strong enough.

Coding and Sleeping

I just got a call from the company telling me it was a mistake and they could not honor that price.

I once bought a used minivan from a Toyota dealership that was mispriced on the Internet. They didn't honor the exact price, but they came close and it was far under book value and the price they changed it to after I had already printed the ad.

Yay Juliebird!!

The cat came back / the very next day / The cat came back / They thought he wasn't gonna / But the cat came back / He's never gonna go awwwwaaaaayyyy!

Happy birthday, Shir!!

I'm soooo sleepy today. Worked both jobs on both Wednesday and Thursday, and didn't get home last night until 11:15. I didn't get here until 10:35 this morning--good thing that my morning task that gets done every day before 11:00 am didn't have too many documents that had to be processed, so I was done within ten minutes.

I am now debating if I should run over to Walmart on my lunch break and pick up a few necessary items (shower curtain and computer chair), or just wait until Sunday and go then.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Such good news, Juliebird! Enjoy your snuggles.

Allyson, that's fantastic. I admire your determination.

Happy Birthday to Shir!

And Happy Next Step to bon bon.

It's lunchtime and I'm still sleepy. In what world is this fair?

I dunno, but odds are you will be sleepier after lunch.
