"a White Sox"
See, I know it's correct, but it grates.
Timelies all!
Great news Allyson!
Yay Allyson and family!
And oh, Indexed is wonderful. I read it regularly and forgot all about it a while ago. Thanks for the reminder!
I'm utilizing gut feelings and shallow commentary I've read on occasion.
I think I owe you an apology. I see that you've got the pundit job description down after all.
I was just thinking - there are quite a lot of animals that humans eat, and a much smaller set of animals that humans dress up in wacky costumes. However, I'd expect the intersection of these two sets to be extremely small.
Yeah. I mean, I've known for decades that other cultures regard animals I consider pets as livestock/food sources. It's just disturbing to see the people that are going to cook the guinea pigs first dressing them up in cute little costumes like Cabbage Patch Kids.
How do people really have that much stuff to carry? I've always wondered. As a guy, I deal entirely in pockets, and carry phone/wallet/keys and very little else. Occasionally, a DS (my pokemons. let me show you them), but really I cannot understand the Must Be Prepared for 5 Billion Eventualities mindset.
You never know when you might have to jam.

That's awesome news, Allyson! Woot!
Aims, the Timbuk2 bag I have is almost too big. It's my weekend trip bag. I want a smaller one, too. I'm addicted to them.
Wanted posters are up for my kitty (made the mistake of putting them together *before* I finished working, because then I just started balling and couldn't concentrate or speak to my coworkers and generally avoided them altogether lest the waterworks begin again). But they're up, and amazingly I didn't cry doing so, hit the local vets and grocery stores and pet shops and called around to the animal shelters and even craigslisted it and got some helpful responses there as to the steps I can take.
Unfortunately I work from 6am till 7pm tomorrow, so not much more I can do until Saturday. Still need to get in touch with the police and animal control and physically visit the shelters myself since the vet informed me that they'll lie over the phone about not having your pet.
But now I feel a little more hopeful now that I'm being productive and not mooning over the balcony railing thinking that the bluejays are my Ply stuck in the tree or that she's the bunnies under the bushes.
Seriously, how do parents of actual human children survive this?
Thanks again, everyone, for the ~ma
So happy to hear that outcome, Allyson! What a relief for your family.
I have a Timbuk2 backpack that holds a laptop that I use for my daily bag when I'm in school. It rules.
{{{Juliebird}}} I hope your kitty comes home soon!
