The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I really want to go home.

Oh god, me too.

This morning, I had my first drivetime "well, that's an interesting thing to..WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU DOING" moment before I even got out of my apartment complex's driveway. It did not get better from there.

“Not dead yet!”

(And just to be clear, I don't think you or what you're saying is BS, I think it's BS from the people who actually think that way)

Nah, honey-- I didn't think you thought that. Honestly, I just find myself stunned at how high the numbers are of people who think that way. (Some in my own family who really, should know better, given we're good, old-fashioned first gen immigrants who've been at the center of a LOT of misunderstandings over the years.)

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

The difference, I think, is that the Dems are saying, "Here, think and make up your mind," while the Repubs are saying, "Don't waste valuable time doing anything like thinking. We'll do that for you. We'll make decisions for you. You just run along and spend time with your families."

If only somehow this could lead to another Reformation, we'd be all set.

As well they should be. That was pretty demeaning to a lot of people who are out there trying to do something even if it's for little to no money. They're trying to make the world better. Unfortunately, I don't think (at least from reading the DMN's editorial blog) a lot of GOP voters will see it that way.

ETA: In fact there were several comments about how it's (Community Organizing) a selfish thing to do and that Obama was leaching off of the taxpayers in doing it.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Last night's Daily Show featured that little dig at community organizers. Like Jon Stewart said, "So, to all of you people trying to improve your neighborhood and your lives from the ground up? Fuck you!!!"

Well, yeah. You'd be hard-pressed to find a group more stereotypically representative of the Liberal Elite than NYC nonprofit leaders....

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Putting this in a seperate post, because...I don't know it feels like it should be.

Please, please be careful about saying women need to put away their breasts at work. I realize what was probably meant was women who wear extremely low cut blouses to work, but as someone with very large boobs who has been, and been made to be very self conscious about them pretty much my whole life, it stings a bit. Even in what I'm wearing today (wrap shirt with camisole) I look totally boobtastic, but if I cover up any more, I have uni-boob which, frankly makes me look frumpy and fat.

Sorry, It's a sensitive area for me.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I've often resented that smaller boobs can show a bit more at work and that I have to put on camisoles with even reasonably modest tops if they show any clevage at all.
