To want to know or understand the differences in that part of the world requires an intellectual curiosity that many people who work fourteen or fifteen hour days just to keep from losing their homes or food on the table, simply don't have time for. The difference, I think, is that the Dems are saying, "Here, think and make up your mind," while the Repubs are saying, "Don't waste valuable time doing anything like thinking. We'll do that for you. We'll make decisions for you. You just run along and spend time with your families."
