I remember reading at one point that the reason people get rabies from bat bits/scratches is that they're SO SMALL the injured person doesn't notice them.

In other how-stupid-can-people-get, a cow-irker at a previous job had a bat get into her house. She was terrified because she was under the impression that they spit acid/poison at people.

I was able to get to it, but it was slower than normal.

Apparently it's illegal to set up a bat box in my town, because it's illegal to encourage bats to nest here. Apparently they're all rabid and will carry away the children.

Not that we don't have enough spare children around here to feed a few bats . . .

Yup. I was just trying to backup some files by e-mailing them to myself, and I was afraid that my latest poisoning-computer curse hurt Google, as well (and right when shrift starts to work there, too).
