I heart geology. Very very much.
Unlike people, it's steady and constant. However, somehow, even when it's predictable, it's strong, amazing and can change your life. And it comes with explosives and acids and experiments and hiking and cool hammers.

Continents collide and new oceans form and sediments reveal this whole history on timescales we really can't comprehend but we keep trying to, learning more and more. Amazing.
I don't remember which sport they were profiling, but late either Friday or Saturday night, they did a profile on one of the obscure sports, and they used the Stargate Atlantis theme for the background. It was very surreal.
But the Pirates of the Caribbean music was nice for the women's saber.
Urgh. I rather stupidly decided not togo get my meds because I felt OK. Yeah, that was pretty much when I was sitting down. Now I am going to the store and I feel wrong.
Re: Georgia and Russia. There were some U.S. and Georgian missteps that contributed to this - not that Russia does not get the major share of the blame.
