Well you are beautiful sarameg and you do have a great smile, but yeah, I love the random compliment.
I agree with this sentence in every way!
Speaking of classic B'more things, I went with my 2 best friends for crabs last night. One, who has lived here for like 7 years, had yet to get them in that time. RIDIC! We sat on a rooftop deck with a great view of the Domino Sugar sign and ate a ton of (smallish but good meat) crabs and drank a ton of beer and got kicked out good-naturedly at the end of the night. Perfect!
mmmm, crab.
I almost said "We'll go when you're here!!" But then realized I'm not seeing you here but in Nevada. DER! Although you should come visit and then we will get crabs!!!
I've never had a whole crab. What parts are edible (besides the legs)?

Totally!
(as a side trip from DC, so that Sparky doesn't kill me)
I am going to a Singaporean restaurant with some of the bay areas peeps this weekend. I bet at least Matt and I will have crab.
no,you have to share with me
blueberry clafouti:
Get to take Percy to the vet for follow up blood test this am. He responded very well to changing his food, but wed don't know if his sugar is low enough to avoid insulin.
sarameg does have a gorgeous-o smile. As does, from photos, lisah.
I kinda want to go to vegas to see lisah's band. The trouble is I travel with a pre-toddler. One who is feverish and sad today.
Our crabbing evening is documented!

Like, all of it? Except the lungs/gills. And the hard shell of course. There's the part that's called the "mustard" that is like the liver or something. I don't eat it but some people do.
The best meat is in the body in front of the backfins. That's the part that is picked and packaged as lump crabmeat.
I miss going to the Dancing Crab for a bucket of crabs (served in a bucket on your brown paper covered table).
but I will admit, lump crabmeat = so much easier. I should make crab cakes this weekend.
