And let's not forget October '67.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Like, you don't know how to open a browser? Really?

Well, if you're my sister...

Question: Is it really necessary to list shit like Firefox and Explorer under programs/software you know?

Well. Honestly? Most people who have called me for tech support don't understand the question when I ask, "What browser are you using?"

So I put it down.

After reading Shrift's comment, I guess it's entirely dependent on what type of job the CV seeker is trying to land.

ETA: The CVs I see typically cite Quark, InDesign, PageMaker, Illustrator and ChemDraw. So I am assuming a user of those products knows about browsers.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm shaking my head because I would have expected him to know to treat every mic like it's hot. Still, quite nauseating.

Suzi, it's good to know that those directions are good for something--I always wondered how the science was different for baking. And having just gotten out of two-house-hell, I can assure you, it's stressful and you've made a good change. You can't control all the factors, so don't beat yourself up.

Thanks, Allyson and Kristin!

Talked to my dad. Luckily, he missed the rockslides. Oh made a coworker very jealous by wearing his SM4 astronaut powerwalk tshirt. Cracks me up. They are so goofy! (And both nephs, my dad and brother have one.)

Listening to him deal with D is hilarious. Dad was threatening to vacuum him and D, well used to adult teasing, was giving it back as good as he got. D then went to take a bath and discovered the awesome acoustics of the main bath. I could hear him over the phone from the other side of the house. I swear to god, Dad's having flashbacks to 25 years ago. Kept accidentally calling D "Josh." They are going to be so fucking exhausted after 2 weeks, and loving it. The kid has an off button. For 8 hours. The rest of the time, he's ON at 200%.

They keep noting how LOUD he is. Well, duh. You remember your son? And DIL? It's been 25 years, though. They'll adjust. Or collapse.

Golden Ray photos of amazing mass migration

Wow. I'm all heartless and stuff, but those pictures gave me goosebumps.

Now I have to decide if I want to buy a Styx album on iTunes. I blame all of you, individually and as a group.

...Oh man. The blurb for Kilroy Was Here is kind of mean and funny. "Pretentious, weakly composed, and rhythmically anemic". But can it be wrong when I know that it's right?

You wanna know what exciting thing I did tonight?!!

I shampooed the carpet.

OK, going to bed now. Exhausted by the excitement.
