Golden Ray photos of amazing mass migration
Wow. I'm all heartless and stuff, but those pictures gave me goosebumps.
Now I have to decide if I want to buy a Styx album on iTunes. I blame all of you, individually and as a group.
...Oh man. The blurb for Kilroy Was Here is kind of mean and funny. "Pretentious, weakly composed, and rhythmically anemic". But can it be wrong when I know that it's right?
You wanna know what exciting thing I did tonight?!!
I shampooed the carpet.
OK, going to bed now. Exhausted by the excitement.
Well, even Tommy Shaw and James Young hated Kilroy. It was primarily Dennis DeYoung's "vision," from the musical concept to the theatrics of the tour, which had the rest of the band members making with the big eye-rollage.

Jilli, I got the Aromaleigh powder you recommended!
I love Aromaleigh -- it works so much better (on my face) than the Bare Escentuals stuff.
Question: Is it really necessary to list shit like Firefox and Explorer under programs/software you know? I mean, srsly? I see it listed occasionally on job descriptions, and I'm so puzzled. Like, you don't know how to open a browser? Really?
Allyson, when people list those as skills on a CV, I toss the CV away. Granted, I'm a technical publisher, so it would worry me if someone seeking a technical publishing job listed use of Firefox and Explorer as "skills".
This is VERY useful for me to know, as I have to create a resume sooner, rather than later. (I hadn't been planning to put knowledge of browsers on my list of mad skillz, but I'm amused that some people *do.*)
(Although, shit, man, I would *never EVER* put Explorer on my CV. Piece. Of. Crap.)
Oh, I know it's terrible! But quality is so not the draw here. My strange fondness for Just Get Through This Night notwithstanding (oooo-o-o-oh oh ooooooooooh oh).
I'm kind of amazed Lords of the Ring didn't have some kind of resurgence when the movies came out.
Well, even Tommy Shaw and James Young hated Kilroy.
I was working stage crew at Berkeley High when they came through with the Kilroy tour. The Berkeley Community Theater was on our campus and the stage doors were right next to the scene shop, so we got to see lots of behind the scenes stuff and hear the roadies bitch. I ushered the show and ended up with a couple of guitar picks. I think we were all so in awe of being that close to the band that we didn't pick up on the infighting until much later.
I have finished packing for ten days away for myself and the rugrats.
I have determined that my wardrobe is one of extremes. Lots of sweats and t-shirts, many of them with logos/sayings/Stewie Griffin on them on one end, Sparkly! Formal! Wear! on the other.
Also, I need to do the Big Closet Purge. Big time. You may hear wailing and gnashing of teeth.
I ask you: What could be hotter than George Clooney in a black suit, posing with a black electric car?
OK, I'm sure there are some things, but still....

I'm sorry for your loss, Tamara.
What could be hotter than George Clooney
Damn that man is hot. And that car is ugly (ok, probably very good and green, but ugly). Let's get back to Clooney...hot, hot, hot.
