I love root beer floats! Sadly, I tried some Root Beer Float ice cream that was incredibly disappointing. Nothing beats the leftover root beer all creamy with melted vanilla, really.

Root beer floats: always YAY
Mmmm. Want. I wonder what a root beer float would taste like with coffee ice cream? Would it dilute the pureness of the vanilla-root beer combo, or could the coffee add to the sublime summer pleasure of the combo?
Also -- root beer float -- must be soft serve ice cream, or can use regular? I like both.
If the internet did not say "Yay Root Beer Floats" I'd say that you've been looking on the wrong internet.
I prefer regular ice cream to soft serve, but both of them definitely count.
Thanks, everyone for the advice. Just gave her a bath and checked the area. It's not hot to the touch but it looks like there might be a teeny bit of pus gathering behind the scar. Since she's as active as ever and acting normally, I'll call the ped tomorrow morning and have them check it out.
I have some local root beer in the fridge and have been inspired to open a bottle. No ice cream, though.
I have not had a root beer float in years, but I prefer the hard ice cream to soft serve (which I grew up calling custard???). I think coffee ice cream would be scrumptious.
If anyone is a My Chemical Romance Fan, or even knows who they are, whic video is hysterical. It is a video made to look like they are singing NSync's "Bye, Bye, Bye"-- I saw it on my friends list and almost died laughing.
I've never had a Root Beer Float with soft serve, but my local food court has a Dairy Queen right next to an A&W, so I might have to try that out.

My parents used to call it custard too, Sophia.
Isn't custard technically different from soft-serve ice cream?
I have given up on my craving for sushi tonight since I have stuffing and a farm-grown tomato at home that I should be eating while both are still good. I wish they made frozen chicken Kiev that tastes likea rainbow roll, though.
Also, there is a cheesy mummy movie on SciFi featuring a very young Jack Davenport and what looks like killer packing tape.
But did we only have custard when I was little and somehow it morphed into soft-serve, or were we just calling it the wrong thing? Although some of the places were "custard stands". In fact I am pretty sure there was one called "Custard's Last Stand."
